Arthur Kasparian Sr.

86, of Lowell, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday, September 30, 2018. Arthur is survived by his wife LaVerne; children: Mike (Cheryl) Kasparian, Art Jr. (Linda) Kasparian, Steve (Shari) Kasparian; grandchildren: Mike D. (Michelle) Kasparian, Ryan, Sean, and Kimberly Kasparian, Mary Kasparian, Annesa (Sam) Barkas, Vince and Sara Kasparian; great grandchild Gabrielle Kasparian; siblings: Mary Kay (Robert) Broe, Katherine Hadders; sister-in-law: Virginia Kasparian; brother-in-law: Daniel Ebert. Preceded in death by his parents: Michael and Mary Kasparian, siblings: Abraham, Ronald, Nicholas Sr. and Arman Kasparian, Hersilia Hooley; brother-in-law, Clifford Sr. Hooley and Arthur Hadders, Ronald Ebert; sister-in-law: Cleone Kasparian, Carol Ebert. Arthur was born on June 11, 1932 in Indiana Harbor. After leaving home, Arthur proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War.  When he arrived home from the Navy he married his high school sweetheart LaVerne Ebert and they were happily married for 64 years.  Arthur retired in 1995 from the Gary Community School Corporation as an electronics technician. After retirement, Arthur continued to maintain his own electronic service shop where he provided service to the residents of Lowell.  Arthur had many strong attributes that allowed him to lead a successful life and be a provider for his family. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, working in the yard, fixing cars and shopping at flea markets, and of course his beloved Green Bay Packers. His witty humor and firm handshakes made it hard to forget a man like Arthur.  He most certainly will be missed by his family and friends but will always remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace and God lead him to a place of serenity. Visitation, Friday October 5, from 4-8 with Funeral Services Saturday, 11AM all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E.
