John A. “Jack” Eskridge
72, lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away Wednesday, May 08, 2019. He is survived by his daughters, Abby (Fritz) Dorge and Sarah Willett; grandchildren, Haley Yuhasz, Olivia and Jack McCauley and Brenden Willett; sister, Jeanette (Tim) Pratt, and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many extended family, friends, firemen and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella Mae; nephews, Doug and Jeff. Jack was the EMS Director with 1-800 Board Up/United Services where he was National Director of the Year, a 51 year member of the Lowell Volunteer Fire Department, was past Fire Chief and current President of their Board. State of IN 2015 Firefighter of the Year. Former member and President of Tri Creek School Board. Founder, 34 year Paramedic and Director of Tri Creek EMS, on the Cedar Creek Advisory Board. He was Lake Co. Fire Chief Assoc. President, on the Board of Lake Co. 911 commission, and Lake Co. HAZMAT Response Team, advocate for Hoosier Burn Camp, Lowell Lions Club and Owner of Bearski’s Pub and Eatery, with his daughters. Visitation, Monday, May 13, from 1-8, with Funeral Services, Tuesday, 11AM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell.
