Joseph R. Blandford

87, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018.  He is survived by his wife Mildred; children, Jeff, Laura (David) Vince, Joe (Diane), Bob (Donna), 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Roberta (Bob) Pioli, Doris Colosimo and Dick.  He was preceded in death by his son Brian, and brothers, Edward and John.  Joe was a 1956 Purdue University graduate in Mechanical Engineering, and retired from Inland Steel.  He served in the US Marine Corps, was a Small Business Owner, member of Lowell’s St. Edward Catholic Church and an avid outdoorsmen.  Visitation, Friday July 20, from 4-8, Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell.  Funeral Mass, Saturday 11AM, at his church, 216 S.
