Allan Wayne Cox passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Allan was 83 years old. He was a faithful servant of the Lord whose life was a testament to his strong faith.
Born with a deep sense of duty, Allan proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. His service was a reflection of the values he carried throughout his life: perseverance, honor, and love for his family and country.
Allan was unwavering in his faith and found immense comfort in knowing he would be welcomed into Heaven to see his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His favorite passage of Scripture, Psalm 1, guided his heart and steps, reminding him that “blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly…but his delight is in the law of the Lord.”
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna F. Cox, and his children: Angela Cox, Amy DeYoung, and Andrew Cox. Allan was a proud and loving grandfather to his many grandchildren: Alexa Steckbeck (and her husband, Patrick, and son Ryker), McKenzie Working, Caitlyn Working, Justin DeYoung, Todd DeYoung, Luke DeYoung, Adam Cox, Ben Cox, Ethan Cox, Cody Cox, and Ellie Cox.
Allan's legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to live on in the lives of those he touched. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends, who find comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.
