Obituary

Arvel Ray Milton

86, returned to his Heavenly home on March 5, 2023.  Arvel was born June 27, 1936, in Pomona, IL, to Agnes Lipe and Otho Ray Milton. He was an army veteran in the Korean War, and spent his time working at Inland Steel as an accountant for 30 years. He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Arvel loved music, reading, and spending time with his family. He was loved by many, and a friend to everyone.

He is survived by one son, Steven (Jennifer) Milton of Boynton Beach, FL., one daughter, Anita (Daniel) Wright of West Plains, MO., two grandsons, Larry Dean (Kimberly) Milton Jr. of Demotte, IN., and Billy Ray Milton of Lake Village, In., two granddaughters, Michelle Woodcox of Anna, IL., and Mikayla Wright of West Plains, MO., and many other friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Alan and Larry Milton; his brother, Donald Milton; sisters, Shirley Hill, Jerry Sauerbrunn; and his parents.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, March 10 at 1 PM in Lake Village Cemetery, through Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell, IN.
