Bryan Curtis Niedert, affectionately known as “Big Bry”, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2023, at the age of 47, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memorable life lessons. Big Bry lived life right with a work hard, play hard mentality. He was the best Dad, a perfect mix of guidance and fun because he was a big kid at heart. He loved spending time with his family.
Bryan enjoyed soaking up the sun on the boat. He was a true boy scout and lived a life full of adventure. Bryan graced the presence of many with his passion for music and playing guitar. He attended numerous concerts throughout his life taking any opportunity to enjoy live music. When “Big Bry” entered a room, his kind heart and big personality made everyone around him smile.
Bryan was the owner of multiple real estate investment companies and managed numerous projects for Gough Construction.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Stacy; children, Kaylee and Corbyn; sister, Jennifer Macharacek; aunt, Marilyn(Marv) Hert and cousins, mother-in-law, DeeAnn (Jim) Calloway; father-in-law, Steve (Margie) Brasher; sister-in-law, Tricia (Jeremy) Bender and nieces Lux and Nova, sister-in-law, Tonya Brasher, and niece, Emma Sayer, and many other family and close friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Kay Niedert; brother-in-law, Anthony “Tony Mack” Macharacek.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 6th from 3-8 at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell.
A service will be held Wednesday, June 7th at 11am at the First United Methodist Church in Crown Point reserved for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to start a scholarship in memory of Bryan to Crown Point Community Foundation at 115 S. Court St, Crown Point, IN 46307.
