Chad Fuerstenberg

Chad Robert Fuerstenberg, 51 of Lowell, IN passed away on July 23, 2024.  He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ali (Raavel) Fuerstenberg; son, Nyle Fuerstenberg; granddaughter, Liliana Fuerstenberg; step-children, Gage, Zane and Jazmine Stowell; sisters, Wendy (Ryan) Pitcock, Angie (Rob) Hernandez, and Dawn (Keith) Elsbree; nieces and nephews, Trey and Seth Pitcock, Carmen, Olivia and Stella Hernandez; father-in-law, Tony (Cindy) Hernandez; Brother-in-laws, David Hernandez, TJ Hernandez and Mike Raavel.

Born in 1973 in Milwaukee, WI, Chad and his family moved to Lowell, IN in 1986.  He attended Lowell High School and played basketball as well as played travel soccer for Crown Point.  On Christmas Eve 1993, he become the father to Nyle and shared his joy of soccer with him as Nyle went on to be part of the 2011 Crown Point State Championship team. He met the love of his life and soulmate Ali in 2009 and they married on March 7, 2021. They enjoyed spending time camping, boating and most importantly spending time watching their nieces and nephews play sports, band performances and art shows.  On October 20, 2014, Liliana Jean was born and become the bright star in Chad’s life.  He loved watching her play soccer and softball.  He was her Opa.  Chad truly loved his job at Hochbaum Machine Services and the friendships he made there.  He was also the biggest Cheesehead in Indiana with his love for the Packers.

Chad was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jeanne Fuerstenberg and mother-in-law, Ellen “Muggy” Hernandez, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 7th from 5-8 PM at the Southlake County Conservation Club; Farewell Fireworks will take place at 830PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a college fund established for Liliana Fuerstenberg.
