David E. Bruckman

73, of Plainfield, IN and formerly of Lowell, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025.  He is survived by his wife, Shellee; children, children, Jennifer (Andrew) Herron of Indianapolis, and Sean Bruckman of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Lana Wooley, Preston Wooley, Henry Wooley, and Myles Lacroix; siblings, Diane Percy of TX, Pete Bruckman of Greenwood, Cynthia Vick of Lowell and Therese Becchino of Munster; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Peter and Edna Bruckman as well as his in-laws Patti Bruckman, George Becchino, and Larry Vick, and father and mother-in-law, Lee Reynolds and Dallas Reynolds.

David was a 1970 graduate of Lowell High School.  He retired from Ameritech as a Service Technician after 30 years because of his wife’s illness.  He then continued to work as a Service Technician for NetNitco for a few years until he relocated to Plainfield in 2004 with his wife Shellee to be closer to their daughter and first grandchild on the way. They travelled to Europe, Hawaii (too many times to count) Mexico and the Bahamas. When he finally really retired in 2016, they bought a Class A Motorhome to travel the USA again, and visited some places they missed when they vacationed with the family years ago.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3 from 10-12, Concluding with Funeral Services at 12 PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell. Burial will follow in Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point. 

Memorial Contributions may be given to, The Pancreatic Cancer Network, the American Brain Tumor Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
