88, of Lowell, IN passed away October 28, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Connie; children, Linda Bushway, David J. (Luz Odelia) Scheffler Jr., Michelle S. (Dwight) Houchin, Erik C. (Gap Soon) Scheffler, Connie M. Patchin; grandchildren, Amie Smith, Ryan (Kim) Eisele, David J. (Lisa) Scheffler III, Dalanaise M. (Louis) Serna, Christopher (Denise) Scheffler, Benjamin S. Houchin, Isabella S. Houchin, Joey Scheffler, Jacob D. Patchin, Samuel J. Patchin; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Marianne (Michael) Keele. Preceded in death by his daughters, Julie L. Scheffler and Donna M. O’Keefe; parents, John and Bessie Scheffler; siblings, Irene Webster and John Scheffler. David was the owner of Thermal Energy for 41 years and RadioShack, both in Lowell. He was a Navy Veteran, Past President of the Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary Club. He also held indoor and outdoor R/C Car races on Sundays. David was a honest man who loved his wife and children dearly, he was a great father and friend. Cremation was entrusted to Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lowell, IN. A memorial will be held November 11th at 11AM, St. Edward Catholic Church, 216 S.
