Dorothy L Lindahl

Dorothy Lindahl peacefully passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 with her family by her side at the age of 89. She was born June 7, 1934 to Mount and Lida Miller in Colfax Township. She married Charles (Bud) Lindahl Jr. on December 20, 1952 who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Meeks and Brenda Gantz, both of Demotte; Art (Patti) Lindahl and Kevin Lindahl, both of Lake Village. She was a loving grandmother to Crystal (Jodi Hoyer) Meeks, Tina (Chris) Johnson, Dustin (Jordan) Lindahl, Amber (Robert) McClatchey, and Jacob Lindahl. Her great- grandchildren were her greatest joy: Logan and Leah Johnson, Charlie and Kaelyn Lindahl and Carsen and Dorothy McClatchey. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Shirley and Nellie Miller.

She was preceded in death by her grandchildren Tiffany Gantz and Matthew Lindahl; son-in-law Mike Gantz; brothers, Raymond, Bill, Wayne, Howard, and Skeet Miller.

Dorothy was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her family and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. Dorothy loved her hometown of Shelby, IN were she built life-long friendships with her neighbors that became family over the years.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2 from 3-7 pm with Funeral Services held Wednesday, January 3 at 11 am, all at Sheets Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lowell, IN. Burial will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery in Rensselaer, IN.

Memorial Contributions may be given to Shelby Volunteer Fire Department or Dunes Hospice.
