Edmond “Ed” Mikolajczak
84, of Shelby, IN, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan; children, Cheryl (late, Timothy Hyzy) Widstrand-Hyzy, Edmond Jr. (Annette), Sandra Mak, Daniel (Denise), James (Diane), Debra (Mark) Miller, Christine (Timothy) Eich, Angeline (Jim); 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Anna. Edmond worked for Ford Motor Company and retired from Rieter Automotive in Lowell. He and Joan enjoyed their retirement together including traveling in their RV and Snowbirding in Alabama during the winters. Cremation will precede Visitation, Sunday, October 10th from 1-3PM at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support the Other Movement Disorders Research and Programs Fund at Rush University Medical Center, where Edmond gifted his brain for MSA research.
