of Hebron, IN.  With heavy hearts, we announce Ella’s passing on Saturday Nov. 30th 2024, at the age 102, after having lived a long fulfilling life.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Jim) Bolt of Wheatfield, William (Maggie) Jurs of Brazil, IN and John (Barbara) Jurs of Hebron; a brother Frank (Kay) Mclean of Morocco; grandchildren, Robert (April) Bolt of Knox, Kristen (Eric) Betancourt of Wheatfield, Brandon Jurs of Lowell, Barry (Bethany) Jurs of KY, 

Billie Ann (Jason) Dzunda of Indianapolis, Brianne Jurs Husband (Rev. Jon) Niketh of Grand Rapids and Ashley Jurs (Powell VanDeRaa) of FL; great grandchildren, Hope, Korey, Bobby, Kyla, Tyler, Zach, Madison, Rosie, Elliot, Miles, & Nathan; great-great grandchildren Travis, Christopher and Kallen.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, of nearly 50 years; siblings, Bud, Earl, Glen, Chuck and Stanley Mclean, June Alliss, Edna Loehmer, Ellen Carlin, and Ruby Wright.

Ella was born, in Lake Village IN to Wilbert & Florence McLean on May 9th 1922, the first of eleven children. Ella lived on her farm in Eagle Creek Township for over 81 years, where she helped work the land with her husband, until his passing in 1994, they were married June 19, 1944.  She dearly loved attending her church, Range Line Presbyterian Church and was proud to be the oldest member.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, and was famous for her pies, crescent rolls and relish for the church turkey supper. She made countless crocheted afghans, doilies, vests, sweaters etc.  and spend many years as a member of the Odd Fellows/Rebeckas, where she earned many high honors and held many positions.  She loved collecting antiques and had a zest for life and never gave up, no matter what.  She showed how strong she truly was during many rough trials over the years.  Including a broken neck and breast cancer.

Visitation is Sunday December 8th from 2pm-6pm at Sheets Funeral Home 604 E. Commercial Ave. Lowell, IN

Funeral Services will be Monday December 9th at 11 am at Range Line Presbyterian church Clay St. Hebron IN with Burial to follow at Plum Grove Cemetery on Rt. 2 Lowell, IN

Ella will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
