Ellen M. Hunter

75, of Crete, IL, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026.  She is survived by her children, Laura (Gary) Noll of Steger, Amy (Gregory) Fischl of Crown Point, and Ryan; grandchildren, Morgan (Jon) Wright; Eric, Sean, and Cody Fischl; and great grandchildren, Jordan Wright and baby #2 due in June.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; siblings, Maureen Hunt and Michael Lynch.

Ellen was a retired Manager of Suburban Heights Medical Center and was a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in Steger.

A Memorial Mass will be held, June 5, 11 AM at St. Liborius, 71 W. 35th St.  Entombment of Gerald and Ellen’s Cremated Remains will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City. 

Memorial Contributions may be given to Dunes Hospice.
