Gene G. Bevins

81, of Lake Village, IN, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, with his loving family surrounding him.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanie; children, David (Dana) of Lake Village and Cindy (Mike) McMahon of Cedar Lake; grandchildren, Zackery (Khristine), Ace and Max Bevins, Cash and Raymond Kosinski; and Heather (Ryan) Georgeff; great grandchildren, Brody and Madelyn Georgeff; his brother, Ernest; and nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, James and infant Dwight David, Lois Endris and Darlene Endris. 

Gene was retired from US Steel as a Roller.  He was a member of Chapter A Gold Wing Club and the NRA.  He and Jeanie spent 20 years camping at the Fort Clark Resort in Brackettville, TX where they were also members of the First Baptist Church. 

Visitation, Friday January 24, from 2-6, Concluding with Funeral Services at 6 PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell. 

Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
