George Bonds

82, of Joliet, IL, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026.  He is survived by his daughter, Alessandra (Nick) Woodman of Merrillville; siblings, Peggy Nemger, Dawn O’Dell and Alex (Janet) Bonds, all of Joliet; and nieces, nephews and extended family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jeanette; and a sister, Carol Lenkszus. 

George was a Retired Union Painter with Local #33.  He was a highly organized man who loved his Harley Motorcycle, doing projects around his home and was especially drawn to mountains, enjoying the outdoors and wildlife.

Private Cremation will take place through Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell, IN, with a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
