George “Ed” Stonebraker passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones. Beloved husband of Lisa of 40 years; father of sons, Brian (Lee) and Adam (Mattie); Proud grandfather of Elliot and Dean; son of George Elmer Stonebraker; brother of Donald Stonebraker and Tina (Frank) Knott; Loving uncle, cousin, nephew, friend and co-worker to an amazing clan of people. He is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Stonebraker and brother, Anthony Stonebraker. Ed graduated from Lowell Senior High School, Class of 1979; retired from Monarch Country Club-Palm City, Florida after a dedicated 32 years. He then relocated back to Lowell to be close to his grandsons, found his second career filled with wonderful people at Lake County Parks & Rec Department. He was a regular “church” attendant on Sunday mornings at DB&G. Ed spent his time tinkering on small engines, fixing neighbor’s lawn mowers, taking drives and riding around with loved ones, fishing and shooting clays. The family has chosen to celebrate his life privately with no services. Private Cremation entrusted to Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lowell, IN.
