Gerald “Jerry” Vasko
80, of Lowell, IN, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Mark (Sandy) of FL, Theresa (Kent) Thrasher of Warsaw, Jamie (Tony) Pampalone and Ryan (Sue) all of Lowell, and Dana (Charles Oakley) Vasko of FL; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mildred; siblings, Andrew, Dorothy Lipski and Ann Mae Sokolowski.
Jerry was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Lowell. He was a retired Iron Worker with local #395, where he was an active member and on the examining board. Member of Lowell Lion’s Club and an original organizer and avid volunteer with Blue Bird Softball League. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring for his beloved DunBrokus Ranch and his many pets. His most loved past time was cheering on all of the kids and grandkids at their sporting events, and heckling the officials.
Cremation will precede Visitation, July 18 from 4-7 at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell. Mass will be held July 19, 10 AM at St Edward with Entombment in St. Edward Cemetery following.
