Gilbert Rodriguez
88, of Lowell, IN, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 at home with his family. He is survived by his wife Carolynn; children, William, Melody (Nicholas) Rozdelsky, and James, all of Lowell, Jae (Bridget) of GA and Ann (Rachel Tharp) of Crete; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister Beatrice Wilhelmy and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lorenza; siblings, Robert, Fran and Irene “Kelly” Sweet,
Gil as a member of Lowell’s First United Methodist Church and American Legion, Post #101 where he was also past Commander. He served in the US Air Force and had been active with both the Boy and Cub Scouts. Gil was a retired from NCR in Chicago as a Computer Technician.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 3 from 10-12, Concluding with Funeral Services and Military Honors at 12 PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell.
Memorial Contributions may be given to his Church or the American Cancer Society for Bile Duct Cancer Research.
