Glenn Mitsch Obituary

Glenn D Mitsch, 74, passed away on December 20, 2024 in Centerville, IN peacefully surrounded by his family at home.

Glenn was born on November 13, 1950 in Gary, IN, the son of George and Bernice Mitsch (Nagel). He lived in Lowell, IN most of his life until moving to Centerville, IN where he spent the last 3 years.

Glenn married Susan (Peterson) Mitsch on January 30, 1982 at St. Edward Church in Lowell, IN, and they enjoyed 42 happy years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Susan; children Amanda (Brandon) Iliff, Tom (Diana) Mitsch, Kate Mitsch, Robert (Elisha) Mitsch, and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Mitsch; 7 grandchildren, Madelyn, Clara, and Henry Iliff, Haley and Liam Mitsch, Annalese Mitsch, and Genevieve Mitsch; siblings, Joyce Streveler, Gerald (Luella) Mitsch, and Charlotte (Jack) Fagen as well as many much-loved nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his father and mother, brother James Mitsch, and nephew Joe Mitsch.

Glenn was a devout Catholic and member of St. Edward Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband and father whose passion was farming. He was a lifelong farmer and rural mail carrier for 29 years.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 28 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 216 S. Nichols St., Lowell, IN 46356 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in St. Edward Cemetery.
