Gregory Howard George

73, of Lowell, IN, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026. He is survived by his stepdaughters, Marilyn Gill, Jackie Weissgerber; children, Christopher and Gregory George; grandchildren including Lauren Starcevich and great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Elaine Meyer; nephew, Triston Meyer; niece, Sarah George; significant other, Jodi Rice; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his late wife, Earleyne; parents, Howard and Alvaretta George; brother, Keith George.

Greg retired from Keil Chemical after 30 years; during his time there in 1986 he was assigned as the Operations Coordinator for the Chevron OGA-472 project. He was currently employed by Wiers Chevrolet GMC in Demotte. Greg was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Lowell. His heart was in Tennessee, where he would spend all of his summers enjoying boating and his extended family there. He enjoyed time with family, Sunday pool days and cookouts, walks through Buckley Homestead. In his later years he enjoyed traveling and going to classic car shows with Jodi.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 2PM at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
