Harry “Skip” Cowan, Sr.
82, of Lowell, IN passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025. He is survived by his wife and honey, Bonnie; children, Harry (Kim) Cowan, Jr., John (Shelly) Cowan, Jennifer (Spiro) Olympidis; grandchildren, Tiphani (Chad) Shope, Britnei Cowan, Gabrielle (Chris) Florek, Evan Cowan; great grandchildren, Landon, Angelina, Adrianna, C.J., Declan, Adaline, Jude and Calvin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Myrtle Cowan and one sister, Betty. Harry was a member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church of Crown Point but spent an equal amount of time praying on the golf course. He was an avid golfer, pool player and was an umpire. Harry was a Navy veteran and member of the VFW Post 6841. He retired as a foreman for UNR Leavitt Tube. He was the best Dad, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed and as he would tell his grandkids, “See ya later dirtballs”. Cremation will precede a Celebration of Life, Saturday, November 22nd from 12-3PM at Lowell VFW, 17401 Morse St, Lowell, IN 46356. Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services was entrusted with arrangements.
