Howard J. Skorka
83 of Lowell, IN passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Rich) Goddard, Paul (Jeni) Skorka, Kim (Mike) Torrence; grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan Goddard, Shelbi (Trey) Perfetti, Brett (Emma) Skorka, Kendal and Rylee Torrence; great grandchildren, Luke and Grant Perfetti, Cora Skorka and baby brother on the way; sister, Ann (Mark) Darrah; and special nephew, Scott Skorka. Howard devoted his life to providing for his family. Known for his tremendous work ethic, he always strived to be better, work harder, and achieve more for his family. He owned and operated S&S Auto Rebuilders for over 40 years and was involved in many other business ventures throughout his life. Howard loved the outdoors and spent time hunting and fishing. He loved to hunt deer, elk, bear, moose, and even rattlesnakes. His hunting stories are legendary to those who have ever heard them. Spending time hunting, especially in Colorado, truly brought him happiness. Howard also loved the simple things in life as well. He enjoyed taking care of the critters in his yard, including the birds, squirrels, groundhogs, and opossums. He loved driving his forklift and his 1965 Ford tractor. You could always find him tinkering around in the garage or walking up and down the aisles of Menards. But it was his family and friends who brought him the most joy. He loved to be surrounded by loved ones. His family is his legacy.
