78, of Shelby, IN, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025. She is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Shannon Stiener; brothers, Jerry (Theresa) Cross, Chuck (Rose) Cross, Zip Cross, Jamee (Rhonda) Cross; mother in law, Eunice Stiener; sister in law, Lynette (Ray) Barkey, Shelley Culver; brother in law, Paul (Pam) Stiener and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her son, Chad Stiener; parents, Buzz and Louise Cross; sister, Pam McNeely; brother, Craig Cross; father in law, John Stiener; sister in law, Gail Cross; brother in law, Danny Culver; nephews, Dean Cross, Blake Stiener, Dale Smith.

Jackie retired from USPS after 30 years, 23 years were spent as the Shelby Postmaster.  She was also a 25 year member of the Shelby Volunteer Fire Dept. After she retired she tried not to miss the calls because she liked to run the radio. For the last 6 years, she has been a member of the Shelby Library Book Club; she enjoyed visiting with friends old and new every month. Jackie never forgot to send a birthday card or Christmas gift to all of her nieces and nephews, now her great and great great nieces and nephews. If there was a baby around Jackie was affectionately known as “the baby hog” always holding the baby. One of the first gifts to the babies of the family would be a book of nursery rhymes so that they were familiar with the rhymes she would repeat to them while holding them. Jackie loved her family, she enjoyed spending time with them and traveling to visit with them. At family gatherings she was known for her macaroni salad and Texas sheet cake. She will be greatly missed by all. Hugs and Slobbers until we meet again.
