James Wathen

70, of Lowell, IN passed away Monday, July 20, 2026. He is survived by his children, Jennifer (David Schwinn) Wathen, Jeremy (Tammy) Wathen, Jason (Jenn) Wathen; grandchildren, Skyler Perez, Mackenzie Coffman, Wynonna Lyles, Mason Wathen, Carter Wathen; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Randy Wathen and close friend, Larry Welch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan; and parents, Chuck and Betty Wathen. James was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Hobart and retired from Lansing School District. He was a simple man who enjoyed hunting and motorcycles. James greatest joy was his grandkids. Private cremation was entrusted to Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356.
