Jean Godoy

80, of Schererville, IN, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024. 

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Gonino; sons, Richard (Carrie) Verduzco of Crown Point and Albert Verduzco of Schererville; grandchildren, Alyssa, Alicea and Anthony; sister, Lisa (Paul) Henschel of WI; and Joe’s family. 

Jean was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Schererville, where her and Joe were both involved with the choir.  She was a Purdue University graduate with a Master’s in Psychology.  Her professional career was spent as a Child Psychologist.  She enjoyed Mexican music and culture; candid photography, cooking, scrapbooking and crafting; and had love for art, collecting many pieces. 

Visitation, Thursday April 11 from 4-7, at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell, with a Funeral Mass Friday, 1030 AM at her Church, 1 E. Wilhelm St., in Schererville.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be given to her church.
