Jefferson “Butch/Jeff” Justice, Jr.
83, of Lowell, IN passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lucille; children: Jeffrey (Joy), Kerry, Stefanie Justice; 6 grandchildren: Jeffrey Joe (Jasmine) Justice, Jerrett Justice, Kellyn Justice, Kerry L. Justice (mother Lisa (Corning) Justice, Ari (Gabriela) Semper, and Ezra Semper; great grandchild, Cash Semper; along with siblings, Anna Faye Walker and Patricia Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson Sr. and Fannie Justice; sister, Mary Alice Spriggs.
Jeff was born on May 19, 1943 in Rensselaer, IN. He was a 1961 graduate of Medaryville High School in Medaryville, Indiana.
For 45 years, Jeff worked for Ford Motor Company at their Ford Heights, Illinois Stamping Plant, where he also volunteered and served on the EMT and Fire Brigade. Jeff was a leader in machine repair who trained and enjoyed the company of many beloved apprentices.
Jeff enjoyed woodworking – building furniture, carving, and creating figurines. He had a love of classic cars and tractors. He enjoyed puzzles of all manner, mechanical and jigsaw. An avid fisherman, Jeff enjoyed spending time with family and friends on and near the water.
Jeff’s legacy lives on through his family and friends. A master craftsman and mechanic, he taught those around him to be makers of things and to create their lives through their hands and love.
Cremation will precede Visitation, Monday, July 6th from 10AM-2PM with Memorial Service following at 2PM all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356. Burial will take place in West Creek Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Lung Association or Wounded Warriors.
