Joan L. Carroll

68, of Marion, Ohio went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 9:32 PM from the Riverside Hospital, Columbus.  Joan was born in Hammond, Indiana on August 6, 1955 to the late Homer W. and Joan M. (Lacy) Luchene. On August 6, 1997 she married Darrell L. Carroll in Marion, Ohio and he survives.

     Also surviving are a son, Nathan A. Bishop of Marion, OH., 2 stepson, Rev. Corey Carroll of Morral, OH. & Justin (Angel) Carroll of Marion, OH., a brother, Tony (Meredith) Luchene of Marion, OH., a sister, Tammy (Michael) Sand of Marion, OH., 2 grandchildren, Ayden M. & Jensyn A. Bishop, 5 step grandchildren, Eli Carroll, Hannah Carroll. Lexi Carroll, Jason Carroll, & Bryson Carroll, an aunt, Jessie Lacy of Griffith, IN., along with numerous nieces & nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frederick Luchene.

     Joan was a longtime member of the Ladies of the Moose. She has always had a big heart for homeless dogs and cats working often with the Homeless to Home Animal Rescue & Cat Sanctuary as a volunteer.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home, Marion on Monday, September 25th from 4:00 PM until service time at 6:00 PM. Visiting hours will continue on Thursday, September 28th from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356.
