John Klaas

62, of Lowell, IN passed away February 1, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, Terri; his mother, Lucille Klaas and his sister, Tonya (Bob) Lambert. Preceded in death by his father, Charles and brother, Chuck Klaas. John graduated from Homewood Flossmoor High School Class of 1982 and went on to become a Graphic Designer at VTI in Chicago. He was an adjunct professor of Graphic Design at Prairie State College and was the artist for a Disney mural at DisneyWorld. John managed Discount Records in Frankfort, IL and also worked for Comcast for 20 years. He was an amateur magician, always having a few tricks ready to perform. John played guitar and was an avid musician; he was known for his love of KISS and his serious memorabilia collection. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 11AM, Visitation from 10-11AM, all at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 845 W. Strieff Ln, Glenwood, IL 60425 with luncheon to follow.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to River Valley Animal Rescue “RVAR” in Momence, IL.
