We are honoring the life of Juliet Mary LaBuda (aka-Julie Bug, Buggy, Jubee) because it is a life worth honoring. For someone who didn't walk much, she sure got around. Those who knew Julie were drawn to her inner light. Every child gravitated her way. She listened, answered every question honestly, and let the lucky ones give her a push. As for her family and friends, she listened with empathy, and without judgment. She gave honest appraisal interspersed with a wicked sense of humor.
Music ran deep for Julie who had a voice as clear as a bell. She sang for years around the kitchen table with her Mom and sisters. She also sang at weddings, theater productions and vocal performances. Julie was also a voracious reader. She knew every library employee by voice, and included them on her Christmas gift list. We were gifted 25 more years of her light, compliments of a kidney given by her uncle, Larry Fraiser.
Julie was disabled for a long time which some may view as a smaller life. For us, and for those who knew her, it was big and beautiful. We will miss her very much.
She is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Mary LaBuda; siblings, Bernadette (Doug Hazzard) Bray, Ann (Scott) Shaginaw, Carrie Bellemy, Jerome (Brianne) LaBuda; nephews, Calvin and Nolan Shaginaw, Connor Bray. She was preceded in death by her brother, Philip.
Cremation will precede Visitation, Sunday, January 25th from 12-4PM with Memorial Service following at 4PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356.
