Kenneth M. Craft
82 of Lowell, passed away while farming on October 27, 2023. Beloved husband of Barb. Father of sons Ken and Derrick. Grandfather to Amy (Rick) DeStefanis, Corey (Kara), Chad (Laura), and five great-grandchildren. Ken is also survived by sister Karen (Don) Adams, sisters-in-law Marge (Wilbur) Doty, Betty (Bill) Holzhauer, Dottie (Dave) Hall, Sue (Cal) Klemp, Marcia (Steve) Gronek, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Helen Craft, and his grandson Kenneth M. “Casey” Craft III. Ken was a lifelong farmer, tending to his family’s farm. He served the Tri-Creek School Corporation as a bus driver for more than 35 years prior to retiring. His other passion was the Lake County Fair. Ken served for decades on the Lake County Agricultural Society Board- many years as President- and was the Maintenance Superintendent for the Fair until his death. Ken was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1st from 5-9:00 PM at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356. Funeral Service, Thursday, November 2nd, 11AM with Visitation from 10-11AM at his church, 1288 S Indiana Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307. Burial will follow in Orchard Grove Cemetery, Lowell.
