Kenneth R. Kender, Sr.

76, of Lowell, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020, with family by his side.  He is survived by his wife, Laurie; children, Cindy (Terry) Osborn, Ken (Sandra) Kender, Carol (Wil) Purvis, Christopher (Suzi) Kender, Candace (Dante) Durnal, Jennifer (Randy White) Russell, Chris (Kimberlee) Russell, Jon (Leah) Russell, Kate (Jeremy) Thompson, Jessica (Matt) Wieneke and 64 grand and great grandkids.   He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard and Elmer Kender and Carol Byrd.  Ken was retired as a mechanic with Aramark Vending, a Lowell Volunteer Fireman for 18 years and served 9 years in the US Navy during the Vietnam era.  Visitation, Tuesday February 25, from 4-8, with funeral services Wednesday, 11AM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell. Burial will follow in West Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospitals.
