In Loving Memory of Larry Anthony Caschetta
December 13, 1956 - September 18, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Anthony Caschetta, 67, who left this world on September 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. While we grieve, we also celebrate the life he lived, which was filled with faith, love, and cherished memories.
Larry was a devoted family man and a passionate Christian whose life story could fill a novel. He spent 38 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Vickie, nurturing a bond that was an inspiration to all who knew them. His life was a testament to the values of faith, family, and community.
As a dedicated member of Bethel Church, Larry served as a Connections Team leader, fostering relationships and bringing people together. He embraced every moment with enthusiasm, whether it was grilling in the backyard or enjoying the company of his family and his dog, Ellie. Larry had also put many miles on his motorcycle.
After 41 years of dedicated service with the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, Larry retired as a train master, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. He is survived by his children: Ashley (Kenny) Tipman, Gina (Jason) Hawkins, Thomas (Erika) Caschetta, Cedric (Daniya Khan) Caschetta, and Cody Caschetta, as well as his cherished grandchildren: Aubrey, Connor, Charlotte, Penelope, and Madeline.
Larry is also remembered by his brother, Kevin (Janet) Caschetta and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Eleanor; his parents, Horace and Vera; his dog, Sadie; and his brother, Glen.
Larry will forever be remembered for his loving spirit, zest for life, and unwavering commitment to his faith and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May God be a shining light guiding us through our grief.
