Lewis Gordon Childress
87, lifelong resident of Lowell, IN, passed away after a battle with cancer, Friday, June 2, 2023.
He was born January 26, 1936 in Lowell to the late Rose and Gerald. He is survived by his wife, Anita; sons, Don (Dorothy), David (Jill) and Jack (Cleo); grandchildren, Emily, Jared, Kenya, David Jr., Marley, Noah, Jacob, Jenna, Zander, Cindy, Llaremy, Lesley and 4 great grandchildren; step grandchildren, Jakki and Terrell.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, William; and his sisters, Marjorie Osburn, Geraldine Thompson and Barbara Rust
Lewis farmed in West Creek. He was a 1954 Lowell High School graduate, member of First United Methodist Church and served in the ARMY.
Visitation, Wednesday June 7 from 10-12, Concluding with Funeral Services at 12 PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell. Burial will follow in West Creek Cemetery.
