Marcia C. Carlson

89, lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away Tuesday February 8, 2022, in St. Petersburg, FL, where she was currently residing.  She was born March 21, 1932, and married Arne Wayne “Butch” in 1951.  They had 4 children, Angela (George) Cilek, Glenn J. Carlson, Sue (Dan) Okon, and Ellen Camus; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. 

Marcia was best known as the Clerk Treasurer for the Town of Lowell from 1972 through 1995, which allowed her to officiate several weddings along with her other duties.  Upon her retirement she was presented a key to the city for her dedication to the town she so loved.  Marcia was a member of Lowell Church of Christ, Gleaners, Three Creeks Historical Association and volunteer with the Halsted House.  She held various positions with the Lowell Library, Lake County Democratic Party, and volunteered as a voting inspector. 

Visitation, Tuesday February 15, from 4-8 with Funeral Services Wednesday, 11 AM at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lowell.  Cremation will follow services. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Three Creeks Historical Association.
