MaryLou (Gleason) Gross
88, of Lowell, IN passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard “Dick” Gross of 69 years; her loving sons, Rick (Lori) Gross of Lowell, IN, Todd (Karen) Gross of Crete, IL; She was a beloved “Boo-Boo” to her granddaughters, Adrienne Gross of Des Moines, Iowa, Alyson (David) Hanus of Nashville, IN, Chelsea (Steve) Stepnoski of Griffith, IN; She loved seeing her great grandchildren, Henry and Bruce Hanus, Susanna and Peter Stepnoski. She is also survived by her brother, Jim (Trisha) Gleason of Indianapolis, IN. MaryLou was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Loralee Gleason; Her brothers, Pat Gleason and John Watkins and her sister, Carolann Pavich.
MaryLou was a 1956 graduate of Lowell High School and she enjoyed attending her class reunions each summer. She was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowell, where she met her very good friend, Laurie Marx. She spent many years involved in the church’s Ladies Aide group and working for her beloved food pantry. She was well known for her making her Famous Baked Beans for church events and her family. MaryLou loved her Fridays at Downtown Hair Studio with her wonderful hairdresser, Cindy Sanders. She loved holidays and cooking for her family. MaryLou filled her home and family’s homes with ceramics that she had made over the years. MaryLou will be missed by her family and friends and they are all very appreciative of the years she was in their lives.
Visitation, Wednesday, December 17th from 4-8PM at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell. Funeral Service, Thursday, 11AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 631 W. Commercial Ave, Lowell. Burial will follow in Orchard Grove Cemetery.
