Max Korte
81, of Lowell, IN, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026. He is survived by his children, Steve (Caroline) of IL, Lisa (Mike) Pullen of TN, Dawn Miller of LA, Jenny (Dempsey) Devers of IL, Monty (Kathy) of Zionsville, Lori (Steve Doloszycki) Korte of St. John and Stephanie Lowell; son in law, Phil McIntosh of AL; 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; siblings, Fred (Jane), Mike, and Becky Riggs, all of IL, Nancy (Tom) Randall of AR, Beverly Knotts of KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Sarah McIntosh; and a brother, Frank.
Max was an active and involved member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crown Point and former member of Lowell’s Trinity Lutheran Church and Lowell Lions Club. He was a 1962 graduate of Massac County High School in IL, and was a retired Ironworker with Local #395.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14 from 3-7 at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell. Funeral Services will take place Thursday at 11 AM, directly, at his church. Burial will follow in Orchard Grove Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be given to American Heart Association.
