Mr. Carol “Kelly” Burgess
82, of Kewanna and formerly Rensselaer, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2020. He is survived by his children, Steven of Henryville, IN, Brian (Ronda) of Rensselaer and Gail of Kewanna; grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Mackenzie, Haley and Cayden; and by his brother, Terry Borem. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; grandson Alonzo Burgess; siblings William Burgess, Ruby Fauser and Carl Borem. Kelly was a Vietnam Veteran of the Navy, serving 2 terms. He was a past Schneider Town Marshall and was one of the first Paramedics with Tri Creek Ambulance Service at its inception. Visitation Saturday January 16 from 3-6:30 Concluding with Navy Military Honors. Cremation will follow, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave. Private Burial of Cremated Remains will take place at a later date in Orchard Grove Cemetery.
