90, of Lowell, IN passed away Friday, June 7, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; children, Cindy (Michael) Jackson, Eugene (Lora) Holcomb; grandchildren, Justin (Michelle) Jackson, Kix and Breanna Holcomb; great granddaughter, Rory Michelle Jackson. He was preceded in death by parents, Ervin and Vesta May Holcomb; siblings, Harold, Jeff, Keith, Jerry, Joe, Walt, Sally, Vivian, Joan. Orville born in Star City on June 26, 1933. He married Kathryn Daugherty on April 28, 1956 at her parent’s home, Russell and Dorothy Daugherty, in Plymouth, IN. He was a Millwright with Local 1029. After he retired he started driving for Fred Sons Trucking. He also drove for Matt Mader with Mars Trucking Company. In his free time he enjoyed keeping his lawn perfect and loved playing music. He was in a band called the Foggy Mountain Bluegrass Band, they played at the Lake County Fairgrounds in the Heritage Hall, August 2002. Visitation, Tuesday, June 11th from 10AM-12PM with Funeral Service at 12PM at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356.
