Richard “Dick” Rankin

78, of Lowell, IN, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.  He is survived by daughters, Julie Rankin, Tamela Thompson and Bridget (Gary) Blackburn; his life partner of 32 years, Jane Blakeman; step daughters, Tracy Adams and Robin Rosenthall; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends, including Clyde “Fred” Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Sr. and Margaret; siblings, Linda Brown and Lloyd “Eddie” Jr.; great grandson, Harper Detamore; and son in law, Steve Thompson. 

Dick was a retired Semi Driver, had his Construction Company, Tri (R) Contracting, and also held a booth at Uncle John’s Flea Market where he had a host of friends. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15 from 10-2, Concluding with a Funeral Service at 2 PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell.
