Richard “Rick” Kurzeja

65, of Lowell, IN, passed away Thursday April, 17, 2025.  He is survived by his sisters, Denise Kurtz, and Deanna (Michael) O’Keefe, all of Lowell; nephews and Niece, Justin and Brandon Kurtz; Bynn (Justin) Denton and Kyle (Alex) O’Keefe; great nephews and niece, Jackson and Tyler Denton and Ainsley O’Keefe. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Dolores;

Rick managed the family farm and was also a Horse Trainer and Ferrier.  He was Co-Owner of International Buckskin Horse Association, with his sisters.  Family, his dog Ziggy, and the farm were the loves of his life. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 23, from 3-6 PM at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell. 

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be given to the IBHA World Show Fund, PO Box 268, Shelby IN 46377.
