Rick Tidd
71, of Crown Point, IN passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia; sons, James (Stephanie) Tidd, Michael (Stephanie Smith) Tidd; granddaughters, Skyler, Jordyn, Rylie; siblings, Theresa (Matt) Drwiega, Ted (Jennifer Kuchta-Tidd) Tidd and Kimberly Tidd. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Tidd; siblings, Sue Ellis, Jeff Betts. Rick retired from Cedarwood Co-Op as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a lifelong guitarist and songwriter. He owned Fast Trax Recording Studio, where he worked with many local artists on production and recording. Prior to that he was the lead audio engineer and owner of Reinforcement Audio Technology. Rick enjoyed vacationing to their Florida home with his wife, Patricia and family. Visitation, Monday April 28th from 4-8PM, Funeral Service Tuesday, 11AM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356. Memorial Contributions may be made to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund.
