74, of Lowell, IN passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat”; daughter, Valorie Shimkus; stepdaughter, Wendy (Larry) Carlin; numerous grandchildren including, Steven Hammersley, Amberlee (Alexander) Wachadlo; siblings, Harry (Debbie) Bunkowfst, Mary (Fred) Popplewell, Bill (Julie) Bunkowfst, James (Etta) Bunkowfst. Preceded in death by his stepson, Lawrence (Rhonda) Hammersley Jr.; granddaughter, Catherine Hammersley. Robert was a member of Celebration Church in Cedar Lake. He was also very active in his younger days, winning horseshoe competitions and playing softball. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing; and was a member of the Southern Lake County Conservation Club in Schneider.
