Robert Reed
86, of Lowell, passed away Monday, April 05, 2021. He is survived by his sons, Dan (Betty) Reed, of Rockville and Tom (Nancy) Reed, of Zionsville; daughter in law, Diana Reed of Lowell; 6 grandchildren, Carrie (Ryan) Murzyn, Keith Armstrong, Scott (Jean), Todd (Loryn), Tyler (Tiffany) and Luke Reed; great grandchildren, Jayece Kay Sharples, Addyson, McKenna and Jillian Murzyn; Katherine, Elayna, Timothy and Logan Reed; Harrison Reed; Lincoln and Jack Reed; siblings, Annette (Ed) Sharkey, Jeff Reed and several nieces and nephews.
He will be joining his wife Kay, who passed away in 2005, son Timothy, who passed away in 2003 and great grandson Alexander Thomas, who passed away in 2016, as well as siblings, Charles Reed, Jr. and Sandra Fulayter.
Bob was the former owner of the family business, The Butcher Block and a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. He had been a member of Lowell’s Volunteer Fire Dept., Moose Lodge and Jaycees. He served in the US Marine Corps and was an avid CUBS Fan.
Visitation Sunday, April 11 from 1-5, concluding with Funeral Services at 5 PM, followed by a IVFA service, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell. Cremation following with Private Burial in Orchard Grove Cemetery, Lowell.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to either the Lake or Porter County 4-H extension clubs.
