Roger E. Baker
80, of Cedar Lake, IN, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Lori (Dave) Guritz of Crown Point; step children, Thomas (Jennifer) D’Asto of MD, Sherry (Richard) Peglow of Indianapolis, Richard (Angela) D’Asto of Cedar Lake and Victoria (Mike) Pisula of VT; grandchildren, Kaylee, Alyssa, Amanda, Todd, Dustin, Anthony, Nick, Gina, Adam, Genevieve, Sage and Luca; great grandchildren, Charlie, Ollie, Lia, Holly and Roman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy; son, Kelly; siblings, Shirley Schultz, Bonnie Peterson, Virginia Baker and Raymond.
Roger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowell. He was a retired Millwright from Inland Steel and a Vietnam Navy Veteran, serving 2 tours. Roger also was a member of Lowell’s VFW post #6841, where he held many offices, including past Commander and past State Commander.
Visitation will be held Friday March 28, from 10-11, Concluding with a Memorial Service at 11 AM, all at his church, 631 W. Commercial Ave, Lowell. Arrangements through Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
