Ronald A. Remesnik
72, of Lowell, passed away Friday July 23, 2021. He is survived by his children, Gregory of Demotte, Rhonda; Adored granddaughter, Danielle; Dear brother, Richard (Paula) of Lowell, sister Cynthia Remesnik of Dyer; Numerous special Nieces, Nephews, and their extended families. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl A. and Irene (nee Takacs) Remesnik and his dear brother, Carl A.
Ron retired from Inland Steel where he was a Millwright – Bull gang 1 & 2 cold strip, assistant griever for the United Steelworkers local 1010. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Southern Lake County Conservation Club.
Uncle Ron had a great respect/love for anything outdoors. An accomplished hunter and fisherman, he preferred to release more than he kept. We will all cherish the time spent pursuing these passions with him and the values instilled to pass along to the next generation. He loved to cook and would share his food/recipes with anyone. Uncle Ron loved to socialize, had a gift to gab, and was knowledgeable on many subjects. He was animated and colorful, especially after a couple of his choice beverages. His diverse knowledge and love of music kept us all amazed/entertained, except for the country music fans. He was also a surprisingly good dancer and led with confidence. Uncle Ron was liked and loved by many, and will be greatly missed. The river will not be the same.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Lisa “the queen” Gibson and all the family/friends that assisted through this trying time. We couldn’t have done it without you.
