SSGT Lucas Allen VanderWoude

Of Abilene, TX formerly of Lansing, IL, Lucas was 24 years old. He passed away while serving in the United States Air Force, September 14, 2026. He is survived by his parents, Rodney and Rachel VanderWoude; siblings, Jordanne and Arturo Ocampo, Samantha VanderWoude; niece, Mariana and nephews, Mateo and Mason Ocampo; grandparents, Barb and Craig Moore, James Boyle, Bev and Tony Patterson; and many other family members. He was greeted in Heaven by his grandfather, Woody VanderWoude and grandmother, Linda Boyle. Lucas graduated from TF South (2020) in Lansing and went straight into the Air Force. He was a big fan of WWE Wrestling and the Chicago Bears. He absolutely loved to play with his niece and nephews.

Visitation, Monday, October 5th from 3-7PM and Funeral Service, Tuesday, 1PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356. Burial will follow in Lowell Memorial Cemetery where Military Honors will be held.
