Sara Leal

87, of Lowell, IN, formerly of Chicago Heights, IL, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. She is survived by her husband, Carlos; children, Carlos II, Raquel (Ron) Dilallo, Esmeralda (Dave) McCoy, Rene (Courtney Solibias); grandchildren, Carlos III, Jamie Jo, Jennifer, Alicia, Rene Jr., Christy, Skye; great grandchildren, Ariel, Jordan, Carlos IIII, Bryce, Deaundrea, Dameon, Lilli, Lina, Kimoni, Amy; great great grandchildren, Amari, Amir, Elijah, Bella; brother, Guillermo (Lillian) Quintanilla; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother, Matilde Garcia; brother, Raymond Quintanilla. Sara was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Chicago Heights, IL where she was very involved including being the choir leader and administer of communion. She also co-founded Catholic Action with her mother. She was a beautician for over 50 years owning her own salon, Sara’s Beauty House in Chicago Heights. She was a very active lady, involved in her community and teaching Baile Folklorico to younger generations. Sara and Carlos won many awards especially in the Honey-Do section. Visitation, Thursday, September 15th from 10AM-1:45PM, Prayer Service at 145PM following with a procession to St. Edwards Catholic Church for Mass beginning at 2PM.
