51, of Cedar Lake, IN, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024. She is survived by her children, Brandi Lucas and Jacob Surface; grandson, Kaiden John; father, George LaVelle; siblings, Kathy (Clifford) Reed, Jodi LaVelle, Amy (Tony) Cholewa. She was preceded in death by mother, Scarlet LaVelle. Susan was a waitress for many years, she had worked at Harry O’s Restaurant and Veteran’s Café. Private cremation entrusted to Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lowell, IN. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
