Terry Popplewell
77, of Demotte, IN, passed away Thursday October 9, 2025. He is survived by his children, John (Jodi) of Lake Village, Robert of Demotte, Thomas of Lake Village and Jennifer (Marty) Shone of Rensselaer; Grandchildren, Jessica and Kaitlin Popplewell, Abigail Popplewell, Ashley and Dominic, Austin Popplewell, Bridget Armond and Emily Shone; siblings, Rex of TN, Sharon Drinski of Kentland, Fred (Mary) of Schneider, Kent “Horn” of Lake Village, April (Dale) Fowler of Lowell, Lou Ellen Worley of TN, Janie Eaken of St. John, Wendy (Jeff) Denton of Lake Village, Brenda (David) Cooper of Lake Village, Mark (Marissa) of Raub; brother in law, Fred Vadas of Cedar Lake, numerous nieces, nephews and the mother of his children, Marj Popplewell of Lake Village. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Virginia; siblings, Goldie, Susan, Tommy and Cindy Vadas; sister in law, Alice Popplewell and brothers in law, Pat Eaken, Clinton Worley and Butch Drinski.
Terry was a retired Welder and Mechanic with NIPSCO after over 30 years. He attended Lowell High School and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Special thanks from the family to Dunes Hospice and his caregiver, Lilly.
Visitation will be held Thursday October 16, 2025 from 11-1, Concluding with a Memorial Service at 1 PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lowell, IN. Burial will follow in German Methodist Cemetery in Cedar Lake.
