She is survived by her husband, Lucian; children, Rosalie Rodriguez, Peggy Lee (Bret) Stockton, Vickie (Larry) Simmons, Charles (Char) Turner, Carol Corning-Wells, Robert (Angie) Corning, Rebecca Corning, Christopher Andrews, Jason (Cynthia) Lamb, Kimberly Lamb, Dee Shanks; 27 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Koonce, Jack (Debbie) Koonce, Richard (Kathy) Koonce; half sister, Charlyn Koch. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hila Koonce; sister in law, Judy Koonce, niece, Carolee Koonce; Son in law, Alfredo Rodriguez; half brother, Tom Richardville. Velma was a member of Grace Pentecostal Church.  Visitation, Friday October 28th from 6-8PM, Funeral Service Saturday, 12PM, all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN. Burial will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
